[ENH] masking and cutting adapters
With !258 (merged) we assume compatible grids to have the exact same mask. To support sub-domains, we need an adapter to apply a (sub-)mask.
In addition it would be nice to have a cutting adapter to not only mask data but to really shrink/clip the grid.
