Branding: "saqc objects"
Some thoughts on the name SaQC
object and its branding in general/in the documentation.
First of all, when documenting it, i felt that it is kind of a strange name for the class, since
- the whole package is called
saqc
as well? - the
SaQC
object doesnt feel like a system when using it - more like a stack or a pipeline. Also, it is not "automated" - its just a tool for automatisation. Thats confusing
Its just a little bit like calling the pandas DataFrame a "pandas-object".... its kinda right but also a little bit anti-verbose
I guess, i wont be succesfull with the suggestion of renaming it, but To have at least the tutorials/documentation corporately designed and intuitively readable i would like to overcome over some standart import/naming conventions - i currently like the following 2. Would be nice to vote for a unitary one to use.:
import saqc
pipe = saqc.SaQC(data)
import saqc as sq
saqc = sq.SaQC(data)
