Workflow Description

David Schäfer requested to merge workflow into develop

I added a workflow description to CONTRIBUTING.md. Not sure, if this is the right file to write such stuff down, but it seemed as a suitable location to me and I wasn't in the mood for another doc file...

This is meant as a draft and basically written down from the top of my head. Any comments and corrections are welcome @palmb and @luenensc .
