Draft: Custom indix selection for reindex wrapper

realized all wrapper functions already support this since they pass on freq to reindexs index parameter.

Question would be if the parameter names freq should all be renamed in those wrappers to index, or should the doc string just hint on the extended capabilitie of the freq argument.
